You Can Say That Again!
I recently received two pieces of mail that I would like to share with you.
The first is a quote that reminded someone of my life
| "Wherever your life ends, it is all there. The advantage of living is not measured by length, but by use; some men have lived long, and lived little; attend to it while you are in it. It lies in your will, not in the number oj years, for you to have lived long enough." Michel Eyquem de Montaigne. |
The second is a personal remark someone wrote to me:
"I read of your work and know that you are in the center of God's will."
I embrace both of these letters I have lived much, and my life has been full,
and it is a pleasure to have labored and to continue to labor in the will
ofGod.
What Is God's Will?
The will of God is not that difficult to find. John 3:16 says that is not
the will of God that any man perish, but that they have eternal life. It is
the will of God that we have a full and complete life.
Mark 16:15 says "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to all
creations ". It is the will of God that we take the good news of salvation
to the entire world.
Concerning the poor and needy, Duet. 15:10 says, "You shall generously
give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him because
for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all of your work and in
all of your undertakings ". It is the will of God that we share with
those less fortunate.
And that means more than just our material possessions. In Acts 3:6, Pete)
said to a beggar, "I do not possess silver, and gold, but what I do have.
I will give to you ". And then he began to share Jesus Christ with the
beggar. It is the will of God that you love the Lord your God with all of
your being and love your neighbor as yourself. Matt. 22:37-39
Where He Leads Me...
Since the first week of January, I have been in Chiapas, Mexico in the center
of God's will, building new mission churches for the Tzotzil and Chamula Indians
and working on the Tuxtle church.
Within a few days I will begin a six week tour in Florida, visiting churches
and friends in quest of finances to complete the Tuxtla church and have it
ready for dedication on May 19.
Still needed are flooring, lighting, seating, & platform furniture.
For now I will say good-by and God bless you. Enjoy your labor in the center
of His perfect will...
